Middle School Athletics provides opportunities for students to represent HKIS throughout the year. The program is split into four seasons and there is no additional cost to join. The teams compete in local school sports leagues and tournaments offered through the International School Sports Federation Hong Kong (ISSFHK) and the Hong Kong School Sports Federation (HKSSF).
To learn more about specific sports teams, schedules, age eligibility and policies, please visit the Middle School Athletics pages on the HKIS website.
Each season features sports that require tryouts and sports that are non-cut. The tryout schedule is available on the MS Athletics page of the website. To register for a sport, please use SchoolsBuddy. Our Schoology MS Athletics page is regularly updated to ensure students are well aware of the dates and requirements.
After School Clubs are activities that need more time to meet. These are groups like robotics, MathCounts, Model UN, and service club. They typically meet one day a week, though they may add additional days when getting closer to an event.
Additionally, Middle School offers a wide variety of paid After School Activities. These ASAs are another opportunity for students to explore interests, try new activities, and meet new friends. The ASA brochure can be found on the HKIS website.
