Full year
Grade 8 PE centers around the concept of "us" and highlights the importance of teamwork, collaboration and personal and social behavior in team sports and physical activities. Students not only develop complex skills, tactics, and strategies, such as using long-handled implements and forearm volleying, but also learn how to exhibit positive personal qualities and interact effectively with their peers. They discover how to create space for others in rugby, apply different aspects of the FITT formula to make workouts more challenging, and prioritize communication and safety in outdoor pursuits. By fostering teamwork, promoting positive behavior, and nurturing physical fitness, Grade 8 PE aims to cultivate a supportive and inclusive environment that encourages personal growth and enjoyment in sports and outdoor activities.
